Ray of Hope (Mural Iteration)
Acrylic on Wood
15 x 13'
Collection of Lance Fung & John Talley, Woodside, CA
I was asked to paint a mural on the side of a private home. It was to be an iteration of a painting that I had completed earlier this year. The entire composition had to be changed in addition to expanding the size. The new iteration includes three actual people: the owners and one of their mothers. The theme was the hope we feel when we think about how the future will be better after the pandemic. The theme became more complicated as people were included that may not see the hoped for return to normal. The mural is visible from the road in front of the house.
